Warehouse Floor Striping Specialist

Located in Southern California, Empire is the number one rated warehouse floor striping company. Not only do we service all of California's warehouse striping needs, but many of our customers have us travel throughout the US for their other warehouse locations as well. The reason for this is simple. We get the job done correctly, on time and at budget. No surprises and no mistakes. Because of this we are blessed with some of the largest companies in the world as customers.

At Empire we have perfected the craft of warehouse striping. We were the first company to successfully spray epoxy through a striping pump, as well as the first company to offer shot blasting at a reduced width to fit warehouse line striping needs. We work quickly and accurately on every project we take on.

When it comes to warehouse floor striping, we are a  contractor that understands. Why is that important?  There are many complexities involved throughout a warehouse striping  project. This specific type of painting service is unlike any typical parking lot striping.

There is only one real similarity; both trades share the same type of equipment used to place the paint on the ground. Many untrained concrete striping contractors accept these types of projects not understanding the differences, a misunderstanding that can cost you precious time and money.

Warehouse floor striping not only requires an understanding of many complex paint systems, such as 2 part epoxies and urethane enamels, but also an understanding of what the your specific project needs will be, which products will be best for that specific project, and foreseeing problems that you may run into in terms of layout and long term wear and tear.

Variables to Consider

When considering a warehouse floor striping or warehouse floor marking project, the first decision that needs to be made is how long you want the warehouse striping to last. Many of our warehouse floor striping customers have limitations that prevent them from putting down a product that will be hard to remove years later.

One example might be a short lease on the warehouse, while another might be a known reconfiguration of the layout in the near future. Whatever your situation is, it's important to think about it before deciding what kind of durability you are looking for. For example, if you need a product that is going to last 3-5 years without fail, then we would recommend a two part epoxy with shot blasting for preparation of the concrete surface. This product can be guaranteed to stay down without failure for three years, and often lasts longer than that.

Another example might be someone who is looking for warehouse line painting that will only last a year or two, such as a building tenant with a two year lease. In this example, we would probably recommend an oil-based paint without any prep of the concrete. Though there can be no guarantee on this product, it should get you through the two years with enough paint adhesion to serve your basic staging and marking purposes.

Another great example that may apply to you is that when many of our customers need us to paint concrete in a loading dock area, this area is exposed to the elements and requires something totally different than what is required where there are no elements involved. Empire Parking Lot Services would recommend shot blasting those areas needing to be painted. Then we use an industrial urethane enamel product on those exposed areas. Urethane holds up better to sunlight and weather than its rival enamels such as epoxy. This is the same logic in car painting, where a urethane paint product is used.

There are many factors when it comes to choosing the correct product for your job, so talking with one of our highly trained estimators will not only help you understand exactly what your needs are, but also help you to make the best decision for your project and budget.

Since the painting of a warehouse is more about function and less about decoration, color choices aren't as essential. However, certain companies may choose colors that complement the company’s logo or overall color scheme.

You’d be surprised how well a striping job that adds color inside the work area ties everything together, and can give a grand feeling of cohesiveness not only in the space provided but also to your entire team. It will provide a sense of order to what can be a chaotic environment just due to the nature of the business.

Your warehouse is a fast paced environment that cannot afford interruptions so you want a contractor that works fast and efficiently while making sure not to disrupt the flow of your business. Empire has a proven track record of doing just that. Our estimators can tell you exactly what the project will look like, how it will impact your warehouse, and will give you intelligent advice on how to minimize that impact.

Warehouse floor markings need to be precise and that is not always easy. The larger the area, the more room there is for error.  Make sure you put your trust in a warehouse striping contractor with a reputation for doing quality layouts and installation with a great amount of warehouse experience. Imagine how effectively your business flow would be when the complete floor area is striped and marked to allow for a more efficient flown. The days of  product being put where it doesn't belong are over; time is money, and there is no need for wasted time. With a production flow that makes sense, very little is left to chance and direction is given and understood without verbal instruction. Ultimately, it will increase production, and safety will improve.

The Process

Many times we are asked about the process and what to expect when getting warehouse line striping done. The majority of the time the process is about the same however, there are some variables to consider from project to project. The best way to find out what your variables might be is to give us a call and talk to one of our estimators. We can answer your questions and help steer you in the right direction. Below are a few frequently asked questions from previous customers.

Frequently Asked Questions Question

Does Concrete Need to Be Cleaned?

Often times, industrial warehouses have been sitting for some time before they are ready to be used for actual work. If the surface in the area of the project has a large amount of dust or dirt on it then getting that concrete cleaned really is a necessity. Empire is often asked to clean a surface to get it ready for paint. We use state of the art equipment such as ride-on sweepers and scrubbers to handle these needs.

Are you looking for Quality, Value or Both?

We understand that there is a need for a job to be done right, but we also understand the need for it to be done as inexpensively as possible. At Empire you get the best of both worlds. Without ever compromising quality we will find the best combination of products and services , to produce a premium result, all within your budget.

How Long will it Take?

The answer to that question is going to vary based on the total number of linear or square feet your project entails. However, what we can say is that most of our projects are based on a 5-8 thousand feet per day scenario. So, if you have a project that is 2000 linear feet or less the project typically takes just one day. On the other hand, if your project reaches into the 100,000 linear feet range, then it will typically take around two weeks from start to finish including a punch list completion. The largest project Empire has taken on to date is 190,000 linear feet of staging lines; that project took us 25 days to complete. Once we know what your needs are, we can give you a rough estimate of what to expect in terms of a time frame for completing your project. And here is some great news; if your warehouse is active with products and employees, we can paint it in halves or quarters so your business isn't disrupted.

No matter what your warehouse striping project entails, Empire can help you out. We appreciate your consideration of us for your project and hope our information here has been helpful.
